Babara Seet
Having been a customer service practitioner for 39 years, Babara is very passionate about helping people and believes that talking things out helps resolves issues – this passion as well as her own personal experiences led Babara to become a Counsellor working with individuals with personal, relationship and family issues and supporting staff in organisations through Employee Assistance Programmes. Babara is also an Associate Mediator mediating cases (civil, relationship, family and divorce) with the Singapore Mediation Centre as well as the State Court of Singapore as well as a Coach providing guidance to individuals on career transitions and career planning.
Irene Lum, a Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling) graduate from Swinburne University in 2014, began her career offering emotional wellness support to corporate clients and government agencies. She conducted workshops and talks on mental health and supported employees. In 2019, she transitioned to the prison system, counseling inmates on drug rehabilitation and reintegration. Currently, Irene is a counsellor at JC Integra, supporting initiatives with Singapore Airlines and Singapore Engineering Company.
Jessie Chong transitioned from 30 years in corporate leadership to championing mental well-being in the non-profit sector. Recognized by Senior Minister Indranee Rajah as a role model in 2023, she holds a master’s in advanced counseling and is a certified ACLP trainer. Jessie has facilitated numerous mental wellness workshops, empowering individuals and communities. Dedicated to providing professional therapy, she helps clients explore choices, heal, and transform, fostering growth and resilience in their personal as well as career journeys.
Dr Tan Teck Koon
(BSc Hons, PhD Science, Master of Counselling)
As an educator with 36 years of experience in education, research, organizational leadership and management at the National University of Singapore (1981-2017), Dr Tan has a passion to work with individuals in an advisory, guiding, mentoring, or counselling role. Dr Tan has a Master of Counselling (Advanced) from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia (2018) and is currently a student counsellor (part-time) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
Jeanette Houmayune has a Master’s Degree in Professional Counselling (specialising in Family Therapy) from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and Certified Multichannel Eye Movement Integration practitioner (Trauma Institute International). She has completed the Level 1 & 2 Gottman Method Couple Therapy as well as courses in Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. Bernard Lin
Bernard earned his Masters in Social Science (Professional Counselling) from Swinburne University of Technology with a specialisation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He further upgraded himself with Choice Theory Reality Therapy (Certified), Gottman Method (Level 1 and Level 2) and Emotion-Focus Therapy (Level 1), Prepare and Enrich, MEMi and Brain Switch 2.0. His listening skills were honed from over two decades of working with youths in this younger days and later, consulting work. He is not only bilingual, he is also fluent in dialects. He is a speaker who shares about mental health in schools and corporate offices.
Vincent Ng is a clinical psychotherapist who takes on an eclectic integrative approach with his clients. He is registered with Singapore Association for Counselling and Singapore Psychological Society. He holds a Masters in Counselling (Dist) and BS Psych (1st Class). He works in a psychiatric clinic treating a range of conditions: Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Bipolar, OCD, ADHD and Schizophrenia. Andrew has worked as a registered nurse in hospitals and the community and a registered acupuncturist and herbalist (TCM). As a senior lecturer, he taught acupuncture and TCM herbology at tertiary level. He also holds an MA in English and has also taught it in schools. He is a published author with works in each of these disciplines. He is currently completing his Master in Counselling and is keen to draw on his past experiences to enhance his counselling skills.
